The Catholics of Gillingham
are moving... On Tuesday 9th December Bishop Nicholas will travel to north Dorset to bless the new church in Gillingham. After the Methodists were obliged to sell, the Catholic parish was able to buy the building and convert it; it is unusual for the most prominent church building in a town to be a Catholic one. This little building (St Benedict's, Cemetery Rd)
has served the Catholics of Gillingham for the past century.
